A few years ago I felt God whispering the possibility of becoming some kind of pastor in the future. I imagined that I would know more when and if the work he has me doing with Showbread is complete. More recently, I’ve felt the need to prepare for this possibility, as it could possibly coexist with my calling in Showbread if God sees fit. If not, I want to be ready for the future.
I study the bible and listen to teachings of all kinds regularly, but I do feel led to seek some kind of seminary/bible college education. So, in order to accommodate my hectic schedule with the band, I will be completing online classes through Calvary Chapel Bible College. The reason I have chosen this school is that it is an unaccredited, non-denominational institution that will allow me to focus solely on studies of the bible and Christian theology without requiring any “normal” classes like math and economics. This is where my request comes in. First let me make it very clear that I am not poor or hungry, I am not currently struggling financially and I am not “in need” as God has provided for me greatly. I am, however, incapable of comfortably funding my education while working with Showbread full-time. I am asking for support from those who are more blessed than me financially, who have much to share, and who pray fervently about the possibility of giving and then feel led to support my bible college education. You will be contributing to my formal bible/seminary education so that I can eventually be a pastoral blessing to others and lead and teach them through Jesus and what I have learned.
Credits are $100 a piece and a total of 80 credits are required to obtain my degree plus the costs of textbooks. Because I am doing the entire college online, there aren’t any time restraints. And although the exact same classes, curriculum and exams are presented, credits can be purchased and completed according to my own desired time frame.
I ask only that those who are very blessed with much to share pray about the possibility to contribute to my education and only give if they feel that God is leading them to do so. I know that whatever happens that He will provide a way if this is His will. If you feel led to help me, your gifts will be used only to fund my seminary education.
